Do naší historické Prahy, hlavního města, kde je pořád, co dělat, putují nejen studenti z různých koutů České republiky, ale i z různých koutů světa. Burak Aydın z Turecka vyrazil na svůj Erasmus na ČVUT studovat Computer Sciences. Že jedním z mnoha cizinců, kterého zlákala Praha, doplňují i jeho slova: „I was easily communicating with almost everyone. But I don’t know so many Czech students. I saw mostly foreign students studying in the Czech Republic.“
Nejen do Prahy
Studenty ale neláká jen Praha stověžatá, ale i jiná česká města. Emre Kurt zavítal například na univerzitu Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem. Studoval zde na fakultě životního prostředí. Ústí nazval svým druhým domovem. A co čeští studenti? „I have met with nerd, lazy and crazy students. Many of them can speak English very well. They were kind and friendly. I have never had a bad moment with them. I made a lot of friendships and we are still having Skype calls or sometimes they come to my city and I visit them in their city. I am planning to come again nowadays.“
Na Erasmus i na severovýchod Čech
Další studentkou, která k nám zavítala na Erasmus je Esin Kapan z Turecka. Ta si vybrala Ostravskou univerzitu. “Visiting the Czech Republic was my dream and I got a chance for not only visiting but living for four months there. I was so excited. I wanted to be a student in Liberec (because it is closer to my dear city “Praha”) but the quota for Technical University of Liberec was full. To be honest, Ostrava is not a good city to live in for a student. But I had a great Erasmus team to enjoy Ostrava and Czech Republic days… Living in my dream country was awesome. I felt stronger and freer than before… I enjoyed each second in the Czech Republic.”
Do Ostravy se vydal i Oğuz Küçükkaya. „My university was the Technical University of Ostrava and I studied Mechanical Engineering. Actually, firstly I felt a bit sad but after one week I liked it. Because people were hot-blooded for foreign people and I really felt serenity in Ostrava city. Czech students are friendly and helpful. But sometimes they can be ashamed because of speaking in the English language.“
Česká kuchyně
Ač se vám při slovech – Knedlo, zelo, vepřo nebo Svíčková sbíhají sliny, tak erasmákům zas tak úplně ne.
„Czech dishes are not good enough for me because our culture is richer than Czech culture (I am talking about food.),“ vykládá Oğuz.
„Your food was hard for me at the beginning. If you know our food, you can easily understand me. But I got used to that and my favorite is Svickova!“ dodává Burak.
“Firstly, I am sorry but Czech food isn’t really tasty to me. But before arriving in the Czech Republic, I knew this. I don’t like garlic and onion so I couldn’t try many dishes… I usually cooked in the dormitory our own food,” míní Esin.
Ale české pivo….To je prý to nejlepší pití na světě. Co si budeme povídat, ohledně toho by se nehádali ani čeští studenti.
Z Ostravy, Prahy, Ústí do světa
Za svůj pobyt ale studenti nezůstanou jen ve svém univerzitním městě, ale zavítají i do jiných metropolí.
“I visited other cities in the Czech Republic. I enjoyed Brno a lot! I can live there in the future. Olomouc was also perfect at Christmas time. I have many Czech friends so I visited them, thanks to a Czech friend I went to “Třebič”, a lovely town. And Štramberk trip was unforgettable for me. That area was really peaceful. And of course “Praha” (I fall in love with this city so I always say that Prague is my baby). I traveled a lot during my Erasmus, six countries and 17 cities… But my best trip was the one to Praha… I know that soon I will meet my baby again. In short; I had amazing experiences in the Czech Republic.” vypráví Esin Kapan.
Ne vždy ale přijde vřelé přijetí
Některé studenty tu nečeká, ale to nejlepší přijetí. Emre vypráví, jak přijel do Ústí nad Labem a vyrazili se optat na policejní stanici kvůli ubytování. „Policeman understood wrong things about my visa and he was almost kicking my ass from Czechia. He didn’t know how to speak English.“
A proč si vůbec Česko vybrali?
“I have many Czech friends, who came as Erasmus students to my university. So before going to the Czech Republic, I had a chance to know Czech students. One of the reasons to choose the Czech Republic was these friends. They are really friendly, helpful and kind. I tried to see all of them when I was in the Czech Republic, great reunions. And I still meet with Czech students who come to my university and try to help to enjoy my country. “ popisuje Esin.
